Lani is an interdisciplinary artist exploring themes of bittersweet nostalgia and belonging. Currently working towards her BFA in Illustration at Cal State Fullerton, Lani captures the fleeting moments, mystery, and warmth of childhood memories. Her work reflects on her mixed-race identity, being a Filipino-Mexican American. Many of her works are heavily inspired by the iSpy book’s series of photographs by Walter Wick. Using a wide range of mediums such as ceramics, acrylic paints, graphite, and digital painting, Lani strives to challenge herself in each and every creation. In her personal life, Lani curates collections of objects that are often subjects of her work.
